Why I Am Running
Quality of life has dipped to an all-time low for most Americans, and we are all feeling the pain.
Rising costs in housing, groceries, healthcare, and gas and utilities have made it next to impossible for many to even make ends meet. Our rights and freedoms are under daily assault. Our hopes and aspirations for a better life are under constant threat by destructive division, in attempts to separate us by party, race, ethnicity, gender, personal choices and beliefs.
The very fabric of our nation has been built upon harmony and strength through diversity and unity, and each of us deserves freedom, due process, respect, decency, civility and kindness. We deserve better. We deserve more.
These new challenges we are facing require new leadership.
My service as an Army officer taught me how to successfully conquer challenging and complex problems, through clarity in the mission and the collaboration of talent and ideas. Together we can shape our community into exactly what we want it to be.
My faith in God and belief in the Bible has taught me to love God and love my neighbor — all my neighbors, no matter who they are, where they came from, what they look like, what they believe in, who they love or how they vote.
This is what it takes to get our quality of life back and better.
It’s time for us to unite as one community, to secure a future where we can live, work, play, and worship in peace and harmony.
